Over the past several months, the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs (FGPA) has launched several new programs and pathways.
For example, this fall, master’s students can now attain an MBA, with a concentration in Finance and Economics and an MA in Economics, with a concentration in Financial Economics, in just 20 months. More details about the MA/MBA are available here.
They can also apply for a project-based Master of Entrepreneurship (MEnt) pathway in the Technology Innovation Management program that offers an innovative approach and content to train aspiring entrepreneurs.
Applications are now open for the fall for both a Master’s and PhD in Information Technology. The Master’s degree consists of two programs: Network Technology and Digital Media while the doctoral program focuses on Digital Media.
FGPA has also announced several other program initiatives including:
- The Graduate Diploma in Public Policy and Program Evaluation (DPPPE) will now be offered exclusively online, in order to provide a more flexible delivery model to prospective students.
- Project and coursework-only options have been added to the existing Master’s program in Biomedical Engineering, along with a concentration in Clinical Engineering.
- The Master’s program in Biomedical Engineering now offers a specialization in Bioinformatics.
- The MSc in Mathematics and Statistics will now offer a concentration in Mathematics and a concentration in Statistics.
- There is a new concentration in Quantitative Methodology for the PhD in Psychology.
- The MA in Communication now has specializations in both African Studies and Data Science.
- The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs has revised its fields.
- The School of Public Policy and Administration has revised its Master’s program and changed its name to the Master of Public Policy and Administration.
- The MA in Film Studies now offers a coursework-only option.
- An internship is now available in the MA for Women’s and Gender Studies.
- There have been substantial changes in the structure of the programs in the MA in History and MA in Public History.
Several other new initiatives are in the works including new programs in Northern Studies and Health Sciences.
