The Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs normally admits students to the fall (September) term. However, some programs may consider applicants for the winter (January) or summer (May) terms.

Most programs have two application deadlines for each term. The first deadline is for guaranteed consideration of admission and funding, if applicable. The second deadline is for consideration of admission and funding if space and funds remain. Students are encouraged to submit applications prior to the first deadline to increase their chances of securing financial support for their graduate studies.

Applicants are required to submit their online application and all required supplementary forms and documents by the appropriate application deadline which may be as early as 9 months before you wish to begin your studies.

If you wish to have more information on upcoming or passed deadlines, please contact the academic unit of the program to which you are interested in applying. Applications for admission from outside of Canada should be completed at least five to six months before the desired date of admission in order for students to make the necessary visa arrangements.
