Graduate Studies is thrilled to confirm that Graduate students that have applied for graduation can now download 2 new letters in Carleton Central.
The new letters that are available for direct download include:
1. Confirmation of Application to Graduate – this letter confirms that a student has applied to graduate, and upon successful completion of program requirements, will be eligible and approved to graduate. The letter also invites friends and family of graduating students to attend convocation ceremonies.
2. Confirmation of Eligibility to Graduate – this letter confirms that a student has successfully met the requirements of their program. It also includes the date on which the degree will be awarded by Senate as well as program duration details. Note that this letter will only become available once you have met all program requirements and your audit is complete.
Students requesting Program Completion Letters through their Department or Graduate Studies are encouraged to log in to their Carleton Central Account to access and download these updated letters. Links to automated letters in Carleton Central are found in Student Online Applications > Apply to Graduate > Applications for Graduation section.
Most notably, the new Program Completion Letter (now known as Confirmation of Eligibility to Graduate letter) now includes Duration of Program information. This will be of particular interest to International students applying for a Post Graduate Work Permit.
